The Friends of
the Library are a group of individuals concerned with the
welfare of the Belfast Free Library. Friends freely donate
their time to promote the growth of the Library as a cultural,
educational and recreational center. Members are interested
in the Library, books and the continuing education of Waldo
County citizens.
To
become a member of the Friends of the Belfast Free Library,
please ask for a membership application at the Circulation
Desk.
Gifts to the Library
are always appreciated. All gifts are evaluated as their
appropriateness for addition to the collection. All gifts
will be either retained for use by the Library and added
to the collection or will be given to the Friends for use
in their fund-raising activities.
A Memorial Gift
is a thoughtful way to remember and honor an individual.
The Library Director will be pleased to consult with potential
donors of Memorial Gifts, to determine the most appropriate
use of the contribution.
