This program is the kick off event for the community art project- Renewables: Altered Books- coming this September and co-sponsored by Waterfall Arts, The Center for Maine Contemporary Art and the Belfast Free Library.
Come and learn more! | | | | Beginning July 8th | | Shockingly Irish: Joyce, O'Brien, and McCabe | | This book and film discussion series will look at the modern Irish presentation of the feminine. The depiction of women in Irish literature has undergone a
transformation in the 20th century. This course will look at the works of fiction that shocked Irish culture in the 20th century with their bold presentations of modern Irish feminity.
All discussions start at 6:30 pm: July 8th- The Dead, by James Joyce

Foreign Film Series is held in the Abbott Room of the
Library on Friday evenings at 7:00 PM.
Admission is FREE, and there is a discussion following
for those who wish to take part.
