Mid-Coast Art Guild
A new selection of watercolors by the Mid-Coast Art Guild will be on exhibit for the month of July. This group of about 15 talented watercolor enthusiasts has been painting together since 2002. Their last exhibit at the Belfast Free Library included a diverse and colorful collection on the theme of birds. Though not centered on a common theme, this exhibit will highlight the many talents of this art guild.

The community exhibition space at the Belfast Free Library was named
The Barbara Kramer Exhibition Space, in memory of Barbara Kramer, who was an ardent and enthusiastic supporter of the visual arts in the Midcoast area in the 1980's and until her death in 1998. A group of area residents, with the encouragement of the Library Board of Trustees, raised funds to create a special exhibition space where art and other materials relating to the history of the library and of Belfast can be displayed.
